Our Shiraz is a great example of vibrant, exciting Yarra Valley Shiraz. It portrays elegance and texture, complex red and black cherry fruits, notes of pepper, spice, licorice and thyme with a soft fine grain tannin structure.

93 Points – The Real Review
Bunchy, funky aromas along with white pepper, blueberry, Asian spice and bramble. There’s lashings of blue
fruits, spice and pepper on the palate, along with nutmeg oak and a granitic minerality. There’s lovely, savoury
tannins providing shape and the acidity has real spring and bounce. A lovely example of cooler climate shiraz.

This is a brilliant Shiraz. Paynes Rise does some wonderful wines and it is great to be able to get out there – but you seriously cannot go past this 2016 Yarra Valley Shiraz. It has some nice peppery notes and I can sit and drink this all day (I am about to purchase my third dozen in 6 months!)
