2023 ‘MR JED’ PINOT NOIR
95 Points – James Halliday
From a close planted vineyard in Seville. A vibrant crimson purple. Gently perfumed and floral with aromas of young raspberries, wild strawberries and spice. A touch more depth and stuffing than the 22’. It’s more structured too and should evolve gracefully over the next 3-5 years. I also like that you can buy a single vineyard Upper Yarra pinot made from 20-year-old vines, at this price.

2022 ‘REDLANDS’ SHIRAZ
93 Points – The Real Review
Bunchy, funky aromas along with white pepper, blueberry, Asian spice and bramble. There’s lashings of blue fruits, spice and pepper on the palate, along with nutmeg oak and a granitic minerality. There’s lovely, savoury tannins providing shape and the acidity has real spring and bounce. A lovely example of cooler climate shiraz.

GOLD MEDAL – Yarra Valley Wine Show
94 Points – Jeni Port — Halliday Wine Companion
Hand-picked, destemmed, cold soak, wild ferment, post-ferment maceration for 2 weeks, pressed, transferred to new, first and second fill barriques for 14 months, no fining or filtration. Planted in ’99, the Seville vineyard is hitting its straps and producing some super-elegant wines. Deep, purple-garnet. Dusty, toasty, black fruits to burn and spice. Kicks off on the palate with sweet fruit, fine-edged tannin and smart, tobacco leaf, cedar oak.
So hard to resist right now. 18 June 2021
