We are seeking an Assistant Cook to work closely with our Chef and join our team for lunch service on Saturdays and Sundays.
(With the possibility of shifts on Thursdays and Fridays)
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Chef in cooking, plating and presenting menu dishes.
Food prep duties, making pizzas and platters.
Prepare food items in accordance with menu requirements using standard recipes and production methods as directed by Chef.
Assist food production as directed by Chef.
Cleaning dishes and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Clean and maintain the kitchen
Understand kitchen health & safety requirements
Requirements:
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation
Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Understanding of food safety standards.
Work well in a team environment, under pressure & instruction.
Have a desire to learn.
Great communication skills.
Punctual, reliable & dedicated.
Super friendly, energetic & down to earth.
Team player.
Must have at least completed Food Safety Certificate and Allergens course.
